THE SEASONS ARE CHANGING! 4/5/12

With the atmosphere as confused about the weather as what we are, the fashion scene is all over the show! Shops are in full swing stocking the shelves with autumn attire, while the weather outside has just realised that it's about time to shine. As retail still has to soldier on with their buying and stocking, we have to work with what we've got.

Lucky for us, Alibi stocks their shorts, 3/4's, 7/8'ths, skirts and jeans all year round! So when you go to take off and escape the winter wonderland, it is almost essential that you stop by the Alibi shop, stockists or online and purchase a fresh new pair of shorts and a skirt and 3/4's and....ok ill stop there, I think you understand what I'm getting at!

With seasons changing, designers designing and shoppers shopping, I went to the Alibi photo shoot a week or so ago for the new designs to come. And girls, let me tell you, we are in for a treat! One of the new styles is made of the most exquisite fabric, as they all are, however this one really caught my attention. Without giving too much away, but just enough to completely and utterly tease your fashion taste buds, it is a new jean made out of an imported Italian yarn with the most dreamiest, luxurious feeling.

Now that I have you all tempted, make sure you keep your eyes open while in store and online. I don't need to do any more bragging at how fabulous Alibi is, as I am sure you all well and truly know by now! THE SUN'S UP! 12/12/11

The sun has finally come, so its time to have some fun! Trade the boots for sandals, and pop those jeans away for the night time BBQ's. This month we'll be exposing our sexy legs, just a little bit, for the chance of absorbing some well missed sunshine.

Before you head off on holiday it is but only a must that you head into one of the Alibi stores or stockists to pick up a pair or two of the new shorts or even the denim skirt! The lengths people go to in search of the season's hues and cues! I've spent the past week pounding the streets of Melbourne in search of just that; the hottest season must haves! A black dresser confessor myself, I have to admit I was LOVING the colour splashed across the shop floors. Lapping up every last drop of it, it was nice to be entering the changing rooms with a rainbow rather than a thunderstorm for a change! Bold, bright volume screamed the season trend for this coming summer. Yes sure there are the patterns and prints that summer brings to the table almost every year but believe it or not, colour is taking over this season and it's going to be bold. If you can, go as bold as bold can be; get a bright, colourful patterned ensemble that will have you all over the summer trends!

Make your outfits pop with Alibi's Beatrix ivory shorts and Venice white 7 8th's paired with a bright coloured tunic for a look that is perfectly suited for the summer months. MINIS ARE BACK.... 11/8/11

You may have worn it back in the 60’s and dam you looked hot! Since then you have probably had kids, your body shape has changed and you’ve gotten older and wiser. So why wear that same style mini skirt you wore for your 25th birthday?
If it still fits you, congratulations – I don’t think many of us can safely say “I still fit a skirt I wore when I was in my 20’s”, without adding 20cm panels down each side! The worst thing you can do as a woman – is wear that skirt the same way you wore it in your 20’s! Ok, so mini skirts may be back in but at an age past 25years old, it’s not the ideal look you want to be going for. Unless that is, you have an amazing figure that resembles that of Elle Macpherson, then we could probably come to some arrangement! Find something that is more flattering and classic for your figure, and of course of an appropriate length. It may be longer but that doesn’t mean you won’t look smokin’!

Railroad Wine Rack.... 1/4/11

Quite a unique wine rack we just came across.... The Wine Rack Shelves feature sixteen pieces of rail from the Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad Company circa 1908. Two switch plate cuffs provide the feet on the split hickory cross tie. It is finished with golden oak stain and a polyurethane sealer. This piece is individually numbered with a salvaged railroad tie date nail from 1925. Check them out at Rail Yard Studios
